Chris Appleton has built a career helping some of the world’s biggest stars look their best.
Now he is stepping in front of the camera himself.
The celebrity hairstylist recently shared behind-the-scenes photos from the upcoming Baywatch reboot, confirming that he will appear in the series and marking his official acting debut (Attitude).
Appleton has become one of the most recognizable names in celebrity beauty over the past decade.
His was for a very brief period married to actor Lukas Gage and his client list includes Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Dua Lipa, and many other high-profile stars.
While he has made countless appearances on television and social media over the years, this project represents his first scripted acting role.
The announcement did not come entirely out of nowhere.
Earlier this year, Appleton posted a playful series of photos on Instagram that he jokingly described as his Baywatch audition.
The images showed him running along a beach and showing off the physique that has helped make him a social media favorite.
The post quickly attracted attention.
Among those responding was Baywatch executive producer Joseph McGinty Nichol.
His reply was short and direct.
“You’re hired.”
Many followers assumed the exchange was simply a joke.
It turns out it was not.
Several weeks later, paparazzi photos emerged showing Appleton filming scenes in Los Angeles while carrying scripts and working alongside cast members from the new series.
Now Appleton has confirmed his involvement by sharing a collection of behind-the-scenes images and videos from the production.
He described the experience as fun and said he was grateful for the opportunity.
The reboot features an influencer-friendly cast that includes Noah Beck, Shay Mitchell, Stephen Amell, Brooks Nader, Olivia Dunne, and several returning stars from the original series.
Appleton’s specific role has not yet been revealed.
That has not stopped fans from speculating.
Many have joked that Baywatch may have found its most photogenic lifeguard yet.
The original Baywatch became a global phenomenon during the 1990s and helped launch the careers of several actors.
Whether Appleton plans to pursue more acting opportunities remains unclear.
For now, however, he appears to be enjoying every minute of the experience.
And if his social media followers are any indication, plenty of people will be tuning in to see how he does.
