In a candid Instagram post on June 22, Bynum, 38, vented his frustrations about the TV industry, calling it “full of some of the worst people I’ve ever encountered.”

Bargain Block, which premiered on HGTV in 2021, followed Bynum and his partner Evan Thomas as they renovated and revitalized run-down homes in Detroit.

While the show attracted a loyal following over four seasons, its abrupt end has left fans confused and disappointed.

In his post, Bynum reflected on the emotional rollercoaster of the past six months, writing, “Our entire business and lives have been put through the ringer at the hands of a giant corporation, yet we persist.”

Though he didn’t mention HGTV by name, he hinted that fans may not see them on the network anymore, but assured them that he and Evan are still passionate about their work and excited for the future.

“Everyone always told us TV is a fickle world and they are very right,” he added. “TV is full of a lot of great people, but it’s also full of some of the worst people I’ve ever encountered.”

Bynum emphasized that he and Evan have always tried to stay true to themselves and their mission, saying, “We love you all and we’re very excited to announce what’s next soon!”

On June 26, Bynum followed up with another post centered on healing and letting go of “anger and hurt,” signaling that he’s choosing to move forward with resilience.

Support from fellow HGTV stars quickly poured in, including Egypt Sherrod, who echoed the sentiment of rebuilding from the rubble and assured Bynum that “the world is still watching and cheering us all on.”

While HGTV has yet to officially confirm the cancellation of Bargain Block, fans are already mourning the end of the series and rallying behind Keith and Evan as they prepare for their next chapter—whatever and wherever that may be.
