After three heartwarming seasons, Netflix’s beloved LGBTQ+ coming-of-age series Heartstopper will conclude with a feature-length film, offering fans a final chapter to Nick and Charlie’s tender love story.

Creator Alice Oseman announced that the film will adapt the upcoming sixth volume of her graphic novel series, as well as the 2015 novella Nick and Charlie.

The story will follow Nick and Charlie as they navigate the challenges of a long-distance relationship, with Nick preparing for university and Charlie finding new independence at school. Their bond faces its biggest test yet, exploring whether first loves can truly last forever.

Oseman expressed her excitement, stating, “I’m so grateful to everyone who has worked hard to make this possible and to the incredible fans of Heartstopper for your patience and passion. I cannot wait to bring this story to a magical conclusion.”

Returning to their roles, Kit Connor and Joe Locke will reprise their performances as Nick and Charlie, respectively, and will also serve as executive producers for the film.

The movie will be directed by Wash Westmoreland, known for his work on Still Alice and Colette.

Production is set to begin in the summer of 2025, with a potential release in 2026.
