Melqui Ferraz and Denisson Santos thought they were preparing for lives devoted to the Catholic priesthood.
Instead, they found each other. ❤️🌈

The Brazilian couple met while they were both seminarians, studying and preparing for possible ordination as priests.
What began as friendship gradually became something more complicated — and much harder to hide.
Their story first went viral across Brazil in October 2025 and is now finding a new audience after resurfacing on social media almost a year later.
So no, this is not a brand-new romance.
But it is a rather extraordinary one.
From Brotherhood to Love
In posts describing their relationship, Melqui recalled how the two would attend religious celebrations while presenting themselves simply as fellow seminarians.

Behind that appearance of brotherhood, he said, there was already love.
According to Melqui, their growing closeness eventually attracted the attention of their religious superiors.
He alleges that the two were transferred to different cities in an effort to separate them.
Melqui also said they were advised that they could continue their religious formation if they kept the relationship discreet.
Those claims have been widely reported in Brazilian media, although B-Gay has found no independent statement from the seminary, diocese or Catholic Church confirming that account.
For Melqui, the choice eventually became clear.
He wrote that if loving Denisson meant doors would close for them, then “let a thousand more close.”
The couple ultimately left seminary formation rather than continue hiding their relationship.

Melqui later described the decision as liberation after years of trying to sustain a vocation that no longer reflected the lives they wanted.
One Important Detail: They Were Not Priests
Some versions of the story circulating online describe Melqui and Denisson as priests who abandoned the Church for each other.
That makes the story slightly more dramatic, but it is not quite accurate.
They were seminarians — men training and discerning whether to become priests — and had not been ordained.
There is also no reliable evidence that leaving the seminary meant either man abandoned his Catholic faith altogether.
The choice we can document is simpler: they left the path toward priesthood and began living their relationship openly.
And Then the Story Took a Very Different Turn
If the romantic ending sounds almost suspiciously wholesome, there is an epilogue. 😂
Just days after their love story exploded across Brazilian social media, Melqui and Denisson announced that they had opened a joint account on Privacy, a Brazilian subscription platform known for adult content.

Denisson announced the account after followers apparently kept requesting one.
“Pedido feito é pedido aceito,” he wrote — essentially, request made, request accepted.
He then invited followers to “discover the mysteries.”
According to Diário do Nordeste, the account already contained 19 photos and videos when it reported on the launch in October 2025.
So the journey went from Catholic seminary to openly gay couple to adult-content creators in a remarkably short period of time.
There are probably several theology dissertations hiding somewhere in that sentence.
A Love Story Finding a Second Life
The couple’s story began circulating heavily again in August 2026, with newer outlets and social accounts presenting their unusual path to life together to audiences encountering them for the first time.
The most interesting part remains the choice at the center of it.
Two men entered religious formation believing their futures would look one way.
Then they fell in love and discovered that the future they actually wanted looked very different.
Whatever one thinks about priestly celibacy, Catholic teaching or the couple’s decidedly less-celibate career move afterward, Melqui’s message has remained remarkably consistent.
When forced to choose between keeping doors open and openly loving Denisson, he chose Denisson.
Some doors closed.
Others, apparently, came with monthly subscriptions. 😂🌈
