Young Royals may have ended nearly a year ago, but that hasn’t stopped its beloved stars, Omar Rudberg and Edvin Ryding, from giving fans the occasional fairy-tale moment!
During Omar’s Every Night Fantasy Tour stop in London on February 5, the singer (and Young Royals breakout) launched into his fan-favorite “Simon’s Song”—only to be upstaged by a surprise cameo from none other than his former co-star!

A Surprise Fit for a Prince
As Omar began singing the emotional ballad—made famous in Young Royals when his character Simon Eriksson performed it—Edvin Ryding (a.k.a. Prince Wilhelm himself) slipped onto the stage from behind.
The crowd went wild as Ryding sneaked up for a warm hug, sending Omar into a fit of giggles that left both of them momentarily speechless.
Talk about fan-service done right!
Hug, Laughter, & a Shared Mic
Though Omar gamely tried to continue singing, the audience’s raucous cheers and Edvin’s snug embrace took over.
The pair ended up laughing before managing to finish the track together like the adorable besties we’ve always shipped them to be.
Fans in the front row were basically losing all chill, and that’s before Edvin scurried offstage to let the singer carry on with the rest of his set.
Fangirls & Fanboys Freak Out
Footage of the on-stage reunion quickly made its way onto social media, where Young Royals fans promptly lost their collective minds.

Edvin, on the other hand, is flexing his acting chops with new roles—most notably in Danny Boyle’s upcoming post-apocalyptic thriller, 28 Years Later.
The pair have even teased a “secret project” they’d like to collaborate on in the future, leaving fans to wonder: could we get more Simon/Wilhelm magic in a brand-new form?
