Pedro Pascal, a darling of the internet and a vocal supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, recently made waves at the 2024 Emmy Awards by bringing his trans sister, Lux Pascal, as his date. The siblings’ strong bond and mutual support were evident as they graced the event in matching all-black ensembles, symbolizing Pedro’s unwavering support for his sister and the wider LGBTQ+ community​​.

Despite his busy schedule, Pedro makes it a point to spend as much time with Lux as possible, emphasizing the importance of family and solidarity within the LGBTQ+ community. Lux has previously expressed gratitude for having an older sibling like Pedro, highlighting the security and companionship he provides​​.

Pedro’s commitment to LGBTQ+ advocacy extends beyond personal gestures. He has been an outspoken ally, using his platform to voice support for the community, especially in times when LGBTQ+ rights are under threat. A recent social media post by Pascal showcasing the inclusive LGBTQ+ flag was met with widespread admiration, reinforcing his status as a beloved ally. While some speculated about his sexuality, many fans and followers urged respect for his privacy, emphasizing the significance of his support as an ally​​.

In a recent interview with GQ, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the groundbreaking gay TV series ‘Looking’, casting director Carmen Cuba and director Andrew Haigh revealed that Pascal was considered for a role in the series.

“Especially in TV, you meet a lot of people… Pedro Pascal was someone we met [for a role on Looking], and from that, I put him on Narcos,” Cuba said.

Pascal’s acting career began in 1996, and he rose to prominence after portraying Oberyn Martell in the fourth season of the HBO fantasy series Game of Thrones (2014) and Javier Peña in the Netflix crime series Narcos (2015–2017). He went on to appear in several films such as The Great Wall (2016), Kingsman: The Golden Circle (2017), The Equalizer 2 (2018), Triple Frontier (2019), Wonder Woman 1984 (2020), and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent (2022). Since 2019, Pascal has starred as the title character in the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian and again in The Book of Boba Fett (2022). Since 2023, he has played Joel Miller in the HBO drama series The Last of Us, for which he received nominations for a Primetime Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. And in Strange Way of Life, a Spanish gay Western drama short film written and directed by Pedro Almodóvar.
