A wedding that felt like them
The West End actor and former X Factor finalist, who now works as a talent agent, married during Manchester Pride weekend.
They began with a registry-office ceremony before moving the celebrations to a friend’s home, joined by around 100 guests.
There, they exchanged vows in the garden with their puppy nearby.
It is a particularly lovely detail: the little companion who shares their everyday life was there for this moment, too.
Later, the celebration moved to a basement transformed into a gay nightclub.
There was room for both the tenderness of the vows and the pleasure of throwing a party for the people who had come to celebrate them.
Time together after the celebrations
For their honeymoon, Joel and Lloyd headed to the Isle of Skye.
