G4’s Mike Christie made headlines this week as he opened up for the first time about his sexuality, adorning the LGBTQ+ community with yet another star.

Hailing from a challenging childhood in Oldham, he made his name singing covers of pop songs in a striking operatic style which swiftly placed G4 in the national consciousness.
The singer has always been discreet about his personal life, choosing to let his fascinating work lead the way. However, in a recent candid interview with Gay Times, the charismatic performer revealed his journey of self-discovery and acceptance, confirming that he identifies as gay and has been married to a man for 10 years.
“I’ve got so much love to give to my children, and I wanted this my whole life,” he says. “When I realised that I had fallen in love with a man, I thought I wouldn’t be able to have kids, so it means everything to me. They have such a zest of life and they feel so loved.”
