Nicholas Galitzine, breaking boundaries and hearts once more! The queer icon recently ruffled feathers (in all the good ways!) when he postulated how his ‘Mary & George’ character “would figure out a way” to establish a romantic relationship with ‘Red, White & Royal Blue’s’ Prince Henry.
A quick recap for newcomers to the Galitzine fandom: Nicholas Galitzine, a heartthrob born in London, has been making waves in the entertainment world since his breakout role in 2014’s “The Beat Beneath My Feet”. He solidified his queer icon status after playing gay character Jamie in “Handsome Devil”(2016). Fast forward to his recent roles in Netflix’s “Chambers” and as the dreamy Prince Robert in ‘Cinderella’ (2021), Galitzine has proven again and again that he’s not just a pretty face, but a versatile actor as well.
Back to the current buzz. Galitzine’s role in the recently released queer series ‘Mary & George’ has once again put him in the spotlight. The actor showed a knack for stirring the pot with a few choice words about his on-screen character. Breathing life into bisexual postman George, Galitzine mused that his charming George could possibly catch the fancy of Prince Henry, from Casey McQuiston’s LGBT novel -“Red, White & Royal Blue”.
When asked in an interview with TV Line how George would âseduceâ Henry, Galitzine replied: âOh, God. Hard to imagine the sort of modern context of it. But we were talking before about the characters in a modern setting and the existence of social media and dating apps and all of that. George is a very resourceful young man.â
Galitzine continued to say that he was sure George would âfigure out a wayâ to seduce the prince.

With Galitzine’s fondness for LGBT characters, his speculative crossover romance (though just hypothetical) may feel like a love letter to all his LGBT fans. And a little birdie tells us the actor remains single, sending heart rates soaring among his admirers!
Overall, Nicholas Galitzine continues to be an adventurous performer who unabashedly celebrates diversity and sexuality through his roles, validating and amplifying representation for the community. And we’re definitely here for it! After all, who wouldn’t want a handsome postman delivering some steamy, royal romance at their doorstep?
