Hockey Star Gordie Mitchard and Boyfriend Just Love Proposing

Love really does make the world go round, and for Gordie Mitchard and his beau Steven Stull, it seems they’ve found their perfect orbit. The couple, who first locked eyes and hearts in Chicago back in 2018, decided that one proposal just wasn’t enough to encapsulate their love. So, they went for a double – how about that for commitment?

Gordie, a name well-respected on the ice, first as a formidable college hockey player at the University of Iowa and then as a referee, took a leap of love this time, off the rink and onto the scenic Sydney waterfront. With rings in hand, he popped the question, echoing the romantic gesture Steven made just a year before. It’s a love story that feels like it’s straight out of a movie, where every scene is more enchanting than the lastโ€‹ (Outsports)โ€‹.

Their journey wasn’t just filled with roses, though. Gordie’s path to happiness and self-acceptance had its share of hurdles. Coming out in the hyper-masculine world of hockey was no small feat. It took courage, and Gordie faced it head-on, finding solace and freedom in his decision to live authentically. His story is a testament to the power of embracing one’s true self, despite the odds.

Big Brother Love Story: Jordan and Henry’s Romance

Life outside the Big Brother house has been anything but ordinary for show stars Jordan Sangha and Henry Southan. Having found love and respective legions of fans during their time on the show, these two are living proof that television cameras and millions of viewers aren’t necessarily barriers to love.

Surprisingly, Jordan and Henry joined the show without any intentions of finding love. However, as the world watched, the duo’s close friendship blossomed into a beautiful romance, causing a stir among the audience. Only a week after their rememberable exit, they made their relationship official, and the fans were ecstatic.

In an exclusive interview with MailOnline, the happy couple confessed to being quite surprised by the intense and endearing reaction from fans on social media. Jordan, the charming lawyer, stated that he’s still getting used to the whirlwind of attention that followed their journey on the show.

January saw the couple move in together and embark on a new chapter of their lives filled with domestic and tranquil happiness. Jordan and Henry have big plans for the future, including kickstarting their TV and writing careers. Their first reunion three days after leaving the house in November, was depicted as ‘very romantic’, setting the tone for their inspiring love story.

They also revealed the real reasons for their initial decision to participate in the Big Brotherโ€” a decision that changed their lives drastically.

Jordan, who eventually won the show and bagged a massive prize money of ยฃ100,000, revealed: ‘I was disillusioned with life, I thought is this b****y it? Is this my lot? Rocking up to court, being dressed down by a judge, potentially because a solicitor has not done their job correctly – no hate to solicitors, many of my good friends are solicitors!

‘But I thought is this it? I’ve always wanted to write, I’ve always wanted to be something in media, but I never thought that was feasible.

‘But thankfully Big Brother’s provided me with that platform. So I would say being disillusioned with life, I saw this application form. I filled it out in the most flippant manner, I was applying on a whim and yeah, I got the phone call.โ€™

Henry, who had been a food critic, said: ‘I don’t think I’ve ever given the exact reason, but it’s basically, I applied like pretty much a whole year before the show started.

‘I was actually made redundant from one of my jobs, and it was two weeks before Christmas and I remember that was kind of the same time, or I think that at the end of Love Island, they’d announced that they were doing the applications again and I was such a Big Brother fan I thought, why the hell not?โ€™

From a mundane corporate world into the exciting realm of television, these reality stars are a true inspiration for the gay community and proof that love can be found in the most unexpected places.
