Michael Doherty is changing direction, with a childhood ambition and hopes of love and family at the centre of his plans.
The gay content creator announced on October 28 that he had quit and deleted his OnlyFans accounts.

His next priorities, he explained, include becoming a pilot and spending more time on the people and interests he loves.
“I’ve waited a while to make this decision,” he wrote in the Instagram announcement, reported by Out.
He described a choice he had considered over several years, rather than a sudden decision made without reflection.
A childhood dream comes back into focus
Doherty said the platform had become an emotional burden for him. Although he appreciated the income it generated, he felt it was distracting him from other goals.
After talking with people close to him, he decided to focus on friends, family, gardening and his chickens, alongside his longstanding wish to become a pilot.

It is an unusually specific list, mixing a major career ambition with the ordinary pleasures that make up a life away from an audience.
His statement expresses an intention to pursue aviation. It does not announce a pilot qualification or confirm that he has begun a particular training programme.
Love and family are part of the picture
Doherty also spoke about wanting to find love and start a family. Those are aspirations for the future, rather than an announcement of a new relationship or a child on the way.
He thanked friends and relatives who have supported him through earlier stages of his life and expressed appreciation for those who will support this change too.

As Attitude noted in its coverage, Doherty previously dated fellow creator Danny E, also known as Danny Edwin Jesús. The pair co-hosted Twink Talk, and Doherty discussed their breakup in a January 2026 podcast appearance.
His latest statement looks ahead to what he hopes to build next.
A public life with room to change
Doherty’s online work has extended beyond subscription content. An earlier EDGE profile highlighted his playful street interviews about LGBTQ+ life and culture, placing him among a group of gay creators making those conversations part of everyday social media.
Now, he is sharing a different kind of personal update: a reassessment of the work he wants to do and the life he wants around it.
His description of OnlyFans reflects his own experience. Other creators may feel differently about their work, and his decision does not make their choices any less valid.
For Doherty, the priorities he has named are clear. He wants more room for relationships, familiar comforts and an ambition he has carried since childhood.
Where those hopes lead remains to be seen. For now, he has told his followers that he is ready to take a different path.
