RuPaul’s Drag Race’ 16th Queen Has Been Crowned

The glamour of the runway has again been blessed with another victorious diva. Yes, folks, RuPaul’s Drag Race season 16 just crowned a new winner.

This reality TV phenomenon, led by our own American drag supermodel, RuPaul, has continued its legacy of bringing to the fore the most stunning drag queens from across the country, and once again they’ve bestowed upon us an exceptionally fierce queen!

It’s no secret that RuPaul married his partner Georges LeBar in 2017, after over 23 years of dating. Talk about an enduring love story! They can certainly teach a few couples about maintaining a strong, private relationship, successfully navigating the turbulent waters of the entertainment industry together.

RuPaul, a revered icon of the LGBTQ+ community, isn’t only known for his flamboyant, inspirational character on screen, but also for his activism off screen. He has relentlessly worked on raising awareness and advocating for the rights of the LGBTQ+ community, and shows no signs of slowing down his stellar legacy of love and acceptance.

After a nail-biting fight for the crown, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race, season 16, and America’s Next Drag Superstar was announced as… Nymphia Wind!

Nymphia’s number – “Queen of Wind” – featured a gorgeous cultural outfit that revealed into a pastel bodysuit fit for the dance break that Nymphia put it through. The performance’s highlight saw the banana pop goddess employ her sleeves as capes in a wind machine, Pink News reports.

So, while we can’t wait to see what fresh fierceness comes in Drag Race All Stars Season 9, which premieres on May 17, we celebrate the freshly crowned winner of season 16, and laud the ever-incredible love story of RuPaul and Georges. After all, aren’t love and acceptance what we’re all about, darling? Cheers to that!
