The thirty three year old Below Deck chief steward explained on Instagram that he was rushed to the hospital after experiencing intense chest pain and difficulty breathing.
Doctors quickly discovered that he was suffering from EVALI, a severe vape associated lung injury that triggered a coronary artery spasm and cut off oxygen to his heart.
Fraser wrote that he had never experienced fear or pain like it and that two rounds of morphine barely made a difference as his condition worsened.
According to medical staff the heart attack was a direct result of damage caused by vaping, something Fraser says he deeply regrets and will now quit permanently.
