Troye Sivan, the Australian-born pop sensation and LGBTQ+ icon, is all set to embark on what is being dubbed as the “gayest tour ever” with equally iconic pop star Charli XCX. The announcement has sent ripples of excitement through their fan bases, especially among the LGBTQ+ community.

For those unfamiliar with Sivan, he first carved out his path in the entertainment world through YouTube, where he discussed his identity as a gay man and his experiences, resonating with many young followers tracing their own journeys with identity and sexuality. His music breakthrough came with his debut album “Blue Neighbourhood” in 2015, which featured a raw account of his experiences growing up gay. Five years into a robust music career, with chart-topping hits, he is now an influential figure in pop as well as an important voice in the LGBTQ+ community.

Sivan’s love life has been a topic discussed with interest by fans and the media, and he used to be refreshingly open about it. He was dating model Jacob Bixenman for several years. Known for their poignant social media posts about each other, the couple served as powerful examples of a loving, openly gay couple in the limelight.

In recent years, Sivan has been more protective around his personal life, which is of course also understandable when everything you do is recorded and published by the media.

Oliver Stark—known for playing the role of Evan “Buck” Buckley in Fox’s popular TV drama series “9-1-1″—is pushing the envelope in Hollywood. Despite playing a character that initially was straight, Stark has successfully pushed for the exploration of Buck’s bisexuality.

Born and raised in London, Stark gradually moved his career to Hollywood. His big break came in 2014 when he joined the cast of AMC’s “Into The Badlands” and, subsequently, in 2018, he landed the role of Buck in “9-1-1”. Over the years, Stark has proven himself as an accomplished actor and a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ+ community.

Stark recently revealed his aspirations for his character in a candid conversation. “Something that’s always touched me emotionally, more than anything in my life, is when people are able to live as their authentic selves,” he shared in an interview with Out. He hopes to continue discussing and expressing Buck’s bisexuality on the show, breaking stereotypes, and bringing forth representation and authenticity that is often missing from television portrayals.

Off-screen, the actor is happily committed to his fiancée, Hannah Gottesman. Yet, he finds an empathetic connection with the experiences of the LGBTQ+ community, rooting for more screen representation. Despite not being part of the community himself, Stark is determined to play his part in promoting inclusivity and diversity.

While embarking on his personal and professional journey, Stark gears up for the next season of “9-1-1”. He’s hopeful and excited about the potential conversations his character can provoke about sexuality, identities, and acceptance. Meanwhile, fans and community members alike are eager to see how Buck’s storyline further evolves.

“I really want to see Buck continue to explore what it is that really speaks to him, and what he’s into,” Stark says.

“He’s obviously going to continue down this path with Tommy for now. I don’t know what that story is going to end up being, but I would really like for Tommy to stay a part of Buck’s life, regardless. He’s obviously opened this door for him, and I think it would be really nice if [Tommy] was able to continue to hold [Buck’s] hand and could help guide him through this process. As somebody who’s a little older and more experienced, to kind of help shepherd Buck into this new phase of understanding who he is.”

For Stark, it’s just another step towards portraying a true depiction of queer experiences on mainstream TV.

Maulik Pancholy, an openly gay, Gujarati Indian-American actor, well-known for his roles in popular sitcoms like ’30 Rock’ and ‘Weeds’, and even more adored for his gay activism, is in the news once again! Not for any new acting gig, but for striking a blow for love and equality against discrimination.

Born on January 18, 1974, this silver fox came out as gay to the public in 2013, and since then has been a prominent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights.

He’s been in a long-term relationship with Ryan Corvaia, a professional chef, since 2001, and they’ve been going strong! In 2014, the duo was engaged at the iconic Taj Mahal in India, symbolising a love as eternal as the monument itself. Finally, they tied the knot in 2014, and their love story has been both a joy and an inspiration for the community.

Now coming to the hot-off-the-press news, PEOPLE reports that the school board in Pennsylvania recently disinvited the actor from an anti-bullying speaking engagement.

“If you research this individual, he labels himself as an activist, he is proud of his lifestyle and I don’t think that should be imposed upon our students, at any age,” Cumberland Valley School District board member Bud Shaffner said during a meeting.

This decision was met by a sheer outcry from the public. Former students also took a stand against this decision, shedding light on the importance of promoting inclusion and diversity.

“I think that if I had heard from diverse voices like (Pancholy’s) in an auditorium setting telling me that it was okay to be different, maybe my middle and high school experience could have been different,” former student Tony Conte wrote in a letter to the board.

“A presentation of this sort could have saved a life, like the life of my friend.”

In the midst of this, Maulik always manages to keep his fans entertained. He has signed a six figure deal for his next novel, ‘Will they, Won’t they,” due to hit the shelfs in 2026.

We heartily appreciate Pancholy’s unwavering support for the community, even as he continues his successful journey in Hollywood! Let’s hope that his efforts contribute to bringing about a more inclusive and accepting world for everyone.
