Top Gay Love Memes

Here are some really great gay love memes, ads and quotes that just nails it.

Always the trend setters, gays have never been afraid of embracing cool concepts and many of the best memes out there are gay related.

According to Wikipedia, a meme (/ˈmiːm/ meem) is “an idea, behaviour, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture.”

Memes can come in many forms but have in common that they carry ideas from one mind to another through a mimicked theme. And they are commonly used to make a statement, question the status quo, or just to illustrate the world around us.

The word meme is a shortening of mimeme, meaning “imitated thing”.

Here are some of the best gay memes (+ some ads/quotes) we found related to gay love on the Internet.

Gay Test – Am I Gay?

Gay Test – How to find out if you’re gay or not (according to the scientists)

It is safe to say that only a very small minority of people have gone through life without ever questioning their own sexuality in one way or another. Some may say they have’nt, but they are most likely lying.

Even the straightest dude has at some point made an extra look at another guy, and even the gayest gal do find some guys attractive. To what degree they are questioning, that is of course a totally different matter.

As common as it is to put people into boxes based upon classical stereotypes, you should think that there was some full-proof way to decide if you are gay or not. But it really isn’t.

And with all the horrible things that have been done to LGBTQ people throughout history, and still going on in many coutries, that is probably a good thing.

However, that doesn’t mean that efforts haven’t been made to try to figure out a test that can determine your sexual orientation.

Gay Test 1 – The Kinsey Scale Test

The most famous one is the Kinsey scale. It was developed by Alfred Kinsey in 1948 as a way of defining someone’s sexuality more diversly than just as gay, straight or bisexual.

The test asks people to plot themselves on a scale of sexuality from 0 (exclusively heterosexual) to 6 (exclusively homosexual).

Gay Test - Kinsey Scale

While less than 2 percent of people identify as gay, lesbian or bisexual when given strict labels to choose from, almost half of young people don’t identify as exclusively straight when asked to plot their sexuality on the Kinsey scale.

An official Kinsey “test” does not exist, which is contrary to popular belief and many tests across the web. The original Kinsey research team assigned a rating number based on a person’s sexual history.

You can try out a version of the Kinsey test here.

Gay Test 2 – The Purple Red Scale Test

Many sexologists see the Kinsey scale as relevant to sexual orientation but not comprehensive enough to cover all sexual identity issues.

They suggest that sexual identity involves at least three different spectra. Sexual orientation is only one of them (two others being biological sex and gender identity).

There have been suggested many alternatives to the Kinsey scale, including the Purple Red Scale. This test measures attraction in two dimensions: *who* you’re attracted to and *how* you’re attracted to them.

Gay Test 3 – The Genderbread Person

This is not really a test but a way of conceptualising gender and orientation. It consists of a yellow stereotypically male-shaped (think of gendered bathroom signs) “gingerbread man”-like figure.

It has various parts of its anatomy labelled to refer to various parts of human gender, genitals, orientation, presentation, and sexuality. Read more about it here.

Give the tests a try, but don’t take the results too seriously. There is really no test that can accurately answer if you’re gay or not.

You just have to take your time and figure it out on your own. One day all those labels will be gone anyway. Or at least we can hope so.

Did David Gest Hire a Hitman to Kill Elton John?

0

The bodyguard of Liza Minelli’s late husband David Gest, Imad Handi, claims that he had to talk Gest out of hiring a hitman to kill Elton John.

David Gest was alledgedly furious after Sir Elton John made remarks about Gest’s 2002 marriage to actress Liza Minnelli, saying: “I’d love to buy Liza a heterosexual husband.”

Handi told The Sun: “David flew into a range and yelled, ‘I’m going to kill that m***********. He’s a dead man. He looked me in the eyes and said, ‘I want him dead.’ I think he was so angry because Elton rumbled who he really was.”

Handi said Gest had met a Maori doorman who knew a hitman that would kill the pop star for £40,000, and Gest asked Handi to research when Sir Elton John would next be in Los Angeles.

The hit was supposed to go down on January 17, 2003, when Sir Elton was due to perform in Anaheim, California, but Handi said his own guilt made him convince Gest to reconsider.

He told The Sun: “I started to really worry about being implicated and at the start of 2003 I pleaded with him to call it off. He eventually said OK but told me I had to get his money back. The man only gave me £8,000 back so David lost £12,000 but at least Elton didn’t die.”

Hadid also claimed that Gest was bisexual and had the hots for both the late Amy Winehouse and his “dream man” Simon Cowell.

George Michael’s Family Is Kicking out His Partner

0

Fadi Fawaz, the partner of late pop icon George Michael, is apparently being evicted from the couple’s home.

The 43-year-old photographer has been living in his late partner’s property in Regent’s Park, London but George Michael’s family has asked him to vacate the premises so that they can sell the property.

A source told The Sun on Sunday: “Fadi will be so sad as he loves the Regent’s Park house and it holds so many fond memories spent there with George.

“But although the news is devastating he won’t want to make any issue of it with George’s family if that’s what they decide to do.”

Fadi has previously said in a statement that he feels the “world turned against” him after George passed away.

“Since George died I have read and seen some bad things written about me that I did not understand. Often I did not even recognise myself or the life we had together. Since my partner died (who I loved very much and always will) the world turned against me just for finding him dead in bed. I became a monster overnight, with lots of made up stories.

“I always refuse to go into the details of our life but I can tell you that many of the things being said are simply made up lies and very far from the truth. We had a good life together and were companions in the good and the not so good times.

“Some guy claiming to be George’s cousin, and who knows nothing about our life together, is coming out with the craziest rubbish. Although it is simply crazy stuff it makes me embarrassed and sad that this is still happening, and that some people even seem to take it seriously.”

He added: “Now I just want to be left alone to get on with my life and to think about the person I have lost. I want to grieve, and I want other people to show respect for the loss of the man who brought such wonderful music to all.

“I want to be left alone. This sad, sad story is coming to its end and I just have to move on. With thanks and respect. Fadi.”

I’m Straight but Want to Service a Man

31

As a straight man should I be worried about suppressing my urge to experiment?

Dear Max,

I am a 30 year old male who has always considered myself to be straight.

I have never been “attracted” to a man but about five years ago I became conscious of being turned-on by the idea of servicing a guy.

And I am very attracted to women and hope to get married to one someday and have no intention of ever having a relationship with a man. Furthermore, I couldn’t deal with anyone I know finding out I have this fantasy.

Still, I can’t stop thinking about it. I’d say for every three sexual thoughts I have about women, I have one about servicing a guy.

My question is, which head should I listen too? If I try to ignore this am I likely to develop some kind of mental issue?

Or should I do it once, just to have a gay experience, and try to “get it out of my system”?

–Curious in Minnesota

Dear Curious in Minnesota,

Let me first start out with saying that you are definitely not alone in this. Many guys – and girls too for that matter – will try almost anything at least once. That does not make them bad people.

It is totally natural.

As with so many other things in life, if you are uncertain if you like something or not, you just have to take a leap of faith and try it out.

Some foods may look good and tasty. Then when you try it, you may be pleasantly surprised or very disappointed.

You only live once and if you have this on your mind and cannot live without the answer, then go for it. Having sex with a guy doesn’t define you and make you any more – or less – gay than you already are.

Hopefully one day we can put all these labels on the shelf and look at them as a curiosity of the past.

But until then, I do believe you will regret not having tried it out. It’s definitely much better to do it now that you are free and single than to have this urge haunting you when you are in a serious relationship.

Whatever you decide to do… please play safe.

Good luck!
