Darlings, the 35th GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles was a spectacle of splendor and spirit, celebrating the cream of the crop in LGBTQ representation across media. The Beverly Hilton was buzzing with excitement as the community and its allies gathered to honor those who’ve championed our stories with authenticity and flair.

Leading the charge was the sizzling political drama “Fellow Travelers” from Showtime, snagging the spotlight as the outstanding limited or anthology series. The steamy narrative featuring Matt Bomer and Jonathan Bailey had us all on the edge of our seats, and clearly, the judges agreed!

Apple TV+’s “Ted Lasso” proved that inclusivity and humor make a winning combo, taking home the prize for outstanding comedy series. Introducing a gay soccer star this season, the show has once again demonstrated that love and laughter transcend all boundaries.

In the film domain, “Monica,” starring the brilliant Trace Lysette, shone brightly as the outstanding film in limited release. Its poignant storytelling and powerful performances have undoubtedly left a mark on hearts and minds.

And let’s not forget the ever-enchanting “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” which added another GLAAD Award to its dazzling collection for outstanding reality competition program. The charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent of these queens never cease to amaze!

But the night wasn’t just about the shows and films. Music sensation Reneé Rapp wowed us all, clinching the award for outstanding music artist. Presented by none other than rock legend Billie Joe Armstrong, this accolade is a testament to her incredible talent and the vibrant diversity of our community.

With Wayne Brady as our fabulous host and a slew of memorable performances and presentations, the evening was a dazzling celebration of progress, diversity, and unity.
